Jumia Stores, originally known as Kaymu, was established by Jeremy Hodara and Sacha Poignonnec in February 2013 and has not looked back ever since. They originally began operations in Nigeria but have since expanded their areas of operations to over 40 countries over the African continent. In September 2014, Jumia sales online launched its smartphone app across the Android, iOS, and Blackberry platforms to tap into the then rapidly growing online market present in Africa at the time. This helped Jumia stores to offer its services to a wider customer-base in a higher number of countries. Their mode of operation is quite similar to stores such as Konga and Jiji.

Jumia currently only has a few physical malls as well as pickup stations set up in every major town and city in Nigeria such as Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Enugu. These pickup stations are available from 8 am to 6 pm on Monday to Friday, and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday.Their official websiteis available for use 24/7 and contains more information about pickup locations and time of operation of these various pickup stations.

Given their huge discounts usually given across most of the goods available, especially in the Computing, Jumia can rightly be called the kings of discount promos. Information about this can be found in the Jumia flyer called ”Jumia black friday”.
