Laura Ashley is a British textile company that was founded in Pimlico, London in 1954 by Laura and Bernard Ashley. Although it is described as being a quintessentially English store, it is actually now controlled by the MUI Group of Malaysia. They started off small in England and at one time had 155 stores in the UK and operated in 25 countries worldwide. They have since merged with Next Home stores and sell many of their products in Next stores and currently have around 77 standalone stores in the UK. Laura Ashley stores are generally open from 7am until 8pm 7 days a week, and are located in the following locations: London, Belfast, Manchester, Derby and Birmingham to name a few.
